Executive Presence Self-Assessment

Great leaders do more than possess knowledge and technical expertise—they inspire confidence, communicate with clarity, and influence others through the way they carry themselves. The Executive Presence Self-Assessment is designed to help you evaluate how effectively you project these leadership qualities and identify practical opportunities for growth.

Whether you are an executive, manager, entrepreneur, team leader, ministry leader, or aspiring professional, this assessment provides valuable insights into the personal qualities that shape how others perceive your leadership. Rather than measuring personality or job performance, it focuses on the observable behaviors that contribute to executive presence and long-term leadership effectiveness.

What You’ll Assess

The assessment measures executive presence across four essential leadership dimensions:

Poise (Gravitas)
Evaluate your confidence, composure, professionalism, resilience, and ability to remain calm and credible under pressure. Leaders with strong gravitas inspire trust even during uncertainty.

People Sense
Measure your emotional intelligence, empathy, approachability, listening skills, and ability to build meaningful relationships. Exceptional leaders understand people as well as they understand business.

Business Intelligence
Assess your industry knowledge, strategic thinking, business awareness, and ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity. Strong business intelligence helps leaders make informed decisions and earn credibility.

Communication Skill
Examine how effectively you express ideas, influence conversations, engage audiences, and communicate with confidence and authority in both formal and informal settings.

Together, these four dimensions provide a comprehensive picture of your executive presence and highlight where focused development can produce the greatest impact.

How the Assessment Works

The assessment consists of 30 leadership statements covering the four executive presence dimensions. For each statement, you’ll rate yourself on a 5-point scale:

  • 1 – Very Low
  • 2 – Low
  • 3 – Moderate
  • 4 – High
  • 5 – Very High

Most people complete the assessment in approximately 10 minutes. Respond honestly and instinctively rather than overthinking each question. The goal is to capture an accurate picture of your current leadership behaviors, not your ideal self.

Your Personalized Results

After completing the assessment, you’ll receive a detailed coaching report that includes:

  • Your overall Executive Presence score
  • Individual scores for each of the four leadership dimensions
  • Identification of your strongest executive qualities
  • Areas where additional development will have the greatest impact
  • Personalized coaching recommendations
  • Reflection questions to deepen your leadership growth
  • Scripture-based encouragement that aligns with your current stage of development
  • Practical next steps for strengthening your influence and leadership effectiveness

Understanding Your Results

Your overall score places you into one of three executive presence levels:

Foundational Presence
You’re building the core habits that create credibility and influence. Your report will help you identify the specific leadership behaviors that deserve focused attention and provide practical strategies for developing greater confidence and consistency.

Emerging Executive Presence
You demonstrate many qualities of effective leadership and are developing a strong professional presence. Your report will highlight opportunities to refine your strengths and elevate your influence in higher-impact situations.

Commanding Executive Presence
You consistently project confidence, credibility, and leadership across multiple settings. Your report focuses on sustaining excellence, expanding your influence, and mentoring others while continuing to grow as a leader.

Why Executive Presence Matters

Executive presence is not about charisma, status, or personality. It is the combination of confidence, competence, emotional intelligence, and communication that inspires others to trust your leadership. The encouraging news is that executive presence is a learnable skill, not an inborn trait.

By understanding your strengths and intentionally developing areas for improvement, you can become a more influential communicator, a more trusted leader, and a more effective steward of the opportunities God has placed before you. This assessment serves as a practical starting point for that journey, helping you develop the habits and mindset necessary to lead with confidence, humility, wisdom, and lasting impact.
