Use this checklist to bring objectivity and biblical discernment to the bid/no-bid decision. Score every criterion honestly. The goal is a clear-eyed recommendation, not a rubber stamp.
- Step 1: Complete the RFP Qualification Call. Typically completed by the Sales Representative, Pre-Sales Lead, and Delivery Leader.
- Step 2: Review During the Bid/No-Bid Meeting. Include the Sales Vice President, Legal, Finance, and Solution Architect.
- Step 3: Document the Decision. If the outcome is No Bid, record the rationale in your CRM (such as Salesforce or Monday.com) to maintain pipeline transparency.
- Step 4: Communicate Gracefully. Respond to the prospect professionally. Thank them for the opportunity, decline respectfully, and express your openness to future opportunities that are a better fit.
