Use this Dashboard Tracker to steer a project, program, or coaching initiative from two angles: the priorities and milestones that mark your progress, and the actions you must prioritize to get there.
- Step 1: In the Project Initiatives Tracker, name a Priority, then name the Milestones that support it — every Priority holds three Milestones.
- Step 2: For each Milestone, list its Stakeholders once, then list its three Action Items with a Due Date and Status for each: On Target, At Risk, Miss, or Done.
- Step 3: Use the Add Priority, Add Milestone, and Add Action Item buttons any time you need more room.
- Step 4: In the Prioritization Worksheet, list every action you are weighing, with its Owner and dates.
- Step 5: Rate Relationship (how connected the action is to your goal), Impact from 1 (low) to 5 (high), and Effort from 5 (low effort) to 1 (high effort).
- Step 6: Your Score (Relationship + Impact + Effort) will calculate automatically and apply color coding. Use the results to identify your highest-priority actions and focus your attention where it will have the greatest impact.
Every Priority holds three Milestones. Every Milestone has one Stakeholders box and three Action Items. Use the buttons below to add more of any of the three whenever you need room.
List every action you are considering. Rate each one for Relationship, Impact, and Effort, then let your Score calculate automatically and apply color coding. Use the results to identify which actions deserve your attention first.
- Relationship: Who requires it? Give a higher value for clients with a large revenue base, internal senior executives, important vendors, or strategic fellow colleagues.
- Impact: What’s the impact? Give a higher value if it has a large impact on your role or business.
- Effort: How much time or resources are required? Give this a high value if the time and/or resources required are minimal.
